I realized that the makeup kit that came with my daughter's heavy-duty dance bag (the ones that look like large suitcases they use for competitions) was not in good shape. It keeps opening up and dumping bobby pins everywhere. I needed something better. I not only found it, but it exceeded my expectations by leaps and bounds.This is a two-compartment case with see-through windows on each side. I got the black with the "DANCE" lettering. It actually goes with my daughter's dance bag which is pink and black--a very happy coincidence. It's fairly sturdy and very cute.The biggest thing I love? Even though it's small...it's BIG. I know that sounds like an oxymoron, but the way it's made, you can pack so much in it even though the thing isn't super huge. In fact, because the bag has some give to it, it takes up less space than our original makeup kit. I like the double compartment because I can keep my daughter's spare hair stuff on one side and her makeup stuff on the other side. It's just absolutely perfect for makeup or hair care...or both. I'm so happy I got it.
